I am a birder and photographer from Carmel, Indiana.  I started birding in 1999 when I was ten years old and have been birding ever since.  I started photographing wildlife extensively during the summer of 2007 and have since started shooting landscapes as well.  Of course my favorite subjects to photograph are birds but it can be very difficult to get close enough to them to get an acceptable image.  Due to this, I have started working on photographing landscapes and mammals which are much easier to get close to until I am able to purchase a “big” lens.  I have traveled around Indiana and the United States to find birds and photograph wildlife.  Some of the places I have traveled to bird include Florida, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming.  I have also birded extensively throughout Indiana and in parts of most Midwestern states.  I attend Indiana University and work for the Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory doing field work in the Black Hills of South Dakota and throughout North Dakota and Wyoming.

I’m a birder and photographer from Carmel, Indiana.  I started birding when I was seventeen and have continued to enjoy it ever since.  Photography is a relatively new interest of mine - one that I hope to continue to pursue and learn more about.   Among my favorite birding locations are Southwest Florida, Southeast Arizona, and Crane Creek, Ohio.  I have also birded extensively throughout Indiana and in most Midwestern states.  In 2008, I graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a degree in Marketing, and currently work for Wild Birds Unlimited.   I am extremely interesting in getting more people interested in birds and birding.  I love sharing the knowledge that I have gain with new birders and I believe that teaching people about birds helps them better understand why we must work to conserve their habitats.
