This site is one of the best areas to view passerine migration in Northeastern Indiana.
Specialty Species:
Red-headed Woodpecker: Check the feeding station and the area around the nature center for this species.
Warblers: While warblers can be found throughout the park during spring and fall migration, we recommend hiking Trail 3, 6, and 7.

Nature Center: Check the feeders at the nature center especially during the winter months. Red-headed Woodpeckers also frequent the feeder year-round.
Trails 3, 6, and 7: Hike Trails 3, 6, and 7 for a chance to see many migrant passerines during spring and fall migration.
County Road Marsh: You can find Soras, Virginia Rails, Marsh Wrens, and Common Moorhens in the marsh during the summer months. To get to the marsh, turn right on the road just before the gatehouse and go a short distance until you see cattails on both sides of the road.

Directions:
From the North: Take I-69 South from the Indiana/Michigan state line. Take Exit 154 for SR-127. Turn right (west) off of the ramp onto SR-727. The gatehouse is located 0.90 miles down SR-727.
From the South: Take I-69 North out of Fort Wayne. Take Exit 154 to SR-127. Turn left (north) onto SR-127 and go 0.25 miles before turning left (west) onto SR-727. The gatehouse is located 1 mile down SR-727.
