This small wooded park is used mainly for dropping boats in Lake Monroe but also has a good habitat for migrating birds.

Specialty Species:

Warblers:  The entire area past the boat launch can be very productive for warblers in the spring and fall.

Where to Bird:

Second boat ramp:  Walk around this area for a chance at many migrating birds including vireos, thrushes, and warblers.

Last parking lot:  Walk this area for an opportunity to see many migrating birds including vireos, thrushes, and warblers.  Frequently this area produces berries that attract birds later in the fall.  During the fall, this area usually has Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers.

Directions:

From the North:  From SR-46 in Bloomington, take SR-446 south.  After crossing over the causeway, take an immediate left (east) into Cutright SRA.

From the South:  From US-50, take SR-446 north.  Just before the causeway, turn right (east) into Cutright SRA.
